In-App Browser — Liu Terminal

Liu Terminal in-app web browser. Embedded macOS-native WebView with local server preview, element picker, and connection error Ask Agent integrations.

Embedded WKWebView on macOS for localhost and general web previews next to your terminal — with element pick and Ask Agent on connection errors.

Open the browser

  • Command Palette → Browser (new browser tab; up to BROWSER_MAX_TABS = 4).
  • Browser Split Right / Left / Below / Above — place WebView beside or under a terminal pane.
  • From Site Manager when a dev server is online.

Master switch: browser_enabled in config.json (default true). Last URL and up to 8 recents are remembered for quick reopen.

Platform note: the embedded WebKit view is a macOS feature. Linux builds keep the browser API as a stub, so browser tabs and WebView splits are not available there.

Address bar, back/forward, reload — standard WebKit behavior sandboxed in the app. Ideal for verifying UI while an agent edits code in the terminal split next to it.

Select Element

Command Palette → Select Element arms pick mode. Click a node on the live page; Liu captures selector, tag, text, size, and HTML and inserts it into the agent prompt as context. Attach Element re-sends the last pick. No screenshots required.

Ask Agent on errors

If the page fails to load (dev server down, connection refused), the error UI can pass logs and environment context into your coding agent so it can fix and restart the server.
